BUILDER GRADE UPGRADE

Located in a neighborhood full of lookalike new builds, the out-of-state clients had minimal involvement during construction and chose the builder’s basic options. Selling their previous home with all their belongings they wanted a fresh look. A home that felt more intentional, more elevated, more like them. We repainted throughout the home, added wallpaper in every bedroom, installed custom window treatments, and swapped out all the lighting for higher end lighting fixtures. To better suit their lifestyle and way of entertaining, we moved away from the traditional layout intended for the main space. We transformed what would have been the dining room into a cocktail lounge area. This allowed the kitchen’s eating area to become the main spot for casual meals scaling down the interior dining space, while putting emphasis on outdoor dining. The color palette ties all the spaces together with warm neutrals, soft dusty blues, earthy moss greens, and mauve. From the primary bedroom wallpaper to the dining linens, I made sure to have hints of these colors throughout. per in the guest bedroom. Some of my favorite finds for this project include the ornate coconut shell chandelier in the primary bedroom, the unbelievably soft cashmere rug in the living room, and the tailored look of wool suiting wallpaper in the guest bedroom.
